Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a Maths Learning Support Assistant for a Roman Catholic Sixth Form College in South West London. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, with scope to become permanent.

You will support SEN students in Maths classes, work with teachers to identify learning needs, and assist with behaviour management and learning activities as required.

Qualifications

• Recent maths graduate or experienced Maths Learning Support Assistant.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• UK Bachelor's Degree in Maths or overseas equivalent.
• Experience with children/teenagers in UK schools.

Responsibilities

A Maths Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Roman Catholic Sixth Form College in South West London.

This will be a full time long term Maths Learning Support Assistant position with scope to go permanent.

Working days and hours for this Maths Learning Support Assistant post will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities for this Maths Learning Support Assistant role will include but not be limited to:

• Supporting SEN students in Maths classes
• Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
• Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
• Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
• Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed

The rates of pay for this Maths Learning Support Assistant position will be between 85.50 to 124.87 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

A Mixed Roman Catholic Sixth Form College for pupils aged 16 to 19 years old located in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

It was established in 1985 and they currently offer A Level, Diploma, IB and Adult Education courses.

There is an excellent pastoral care system in place at the school with each student having a Personal Tutor to assist them, along with their subject teachers.

The site also has a Chapel and Prayer room for those of a religious background.

Staff are extremely satisfied when it comes to working at the college too.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you're a recent Maths Graduate or experienced Maths Learning Support Assistant.

You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Maths Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Maths Learning Support Assistant.
