Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Teaching Assistant with a strong English/Literacy background to join an Alternative Provision in Ealing. The role focuses on supporting English and literacy across the classroom and working with secondary-aged pupils both one-to-one and in small groups.

You will collaborate with teaching staff to keep pupils engaged, provide guidance, and help them stay motivated throughout the school day. Immediate start available; temporary to permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with English and literacy.
• Experience with secondary-aged pupils.
• Ability to support pupils in classroom settings with supervision.

Teaching Assistant - Background in Literacy

Location: Ealing, West London
Pay: £110-£130 per day, depending on experience and/or qualifications
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temp to Perm

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a strong English/Literacy background to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Ealing.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience working with secondary-aged pupils and is confident supporting students with their learning, particularly across English and literacy.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils in the classroom, help them stay engaged with their learning and provide encouragement and guidance throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the classroom, with a particular focus on English and literacy
• Work with secondary-aged pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
• Help pupils stay focused, engaged and motivated with their learning
• Provide support with English work, reading, writing and general literacy
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils
• Support positive behaviour and contribute to a calm and safe learning environment
• Work closely with teachers and other members of staff to support pupils' individual needs
