Job summary

Trenode Primary Academy in Cornwall seeks a Teaching Assistant to support high-quality teaching in a small rural school. The role is 3 days a week (Wed-Fri) with a 30-minute lunchtime supervisor slot, total 18.75 hours, term-time only.

The ideal candidate will have SEN experience, be adaptable, and passionate about helping young children develop literacy and learning skills using Read Write Inc within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
• Ability to work in a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Familiarity with Read Write Inc or similar phonics programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom.
• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN as required.
• Use Read Write Inc and other phonics programmes to help children read, write and spell fluently.
