Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN in a safe, engaging learning environment in the Truro area, Cornwall. The role runs Monday to Friday, during term time, with hours 8:45am–3:15pm.

You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored assistance for pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop confidence. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance will apply.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Experience with SEN or SEMH would be beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a SEN provision.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, individually and in small groups.
• Deliver engaging, practical and personalised activities.
• Build positive relationships and support emotional development.
• Support behaviour and promote independence.
• Create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
