Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support the Maths department, enabling inclusion of students with SEN under the direction of the SEN Co-ordinator and Senior Leadership. You will work across lessons to ensure equal opportunities for learners, with experience working with young people preferred.

The role is term-time plus five days, 37 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract, with a pro rata salary and a strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEN.
• Ability to support inclusion within maths lessons under guidance of SEN Co-ordinator and SLT.
• Experience working with young people is advantageous.

The Governors wish to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work within the Maths department to facilitate inclusion of students with SEN, under the direction of SEN Co-ordinator and Senior Leadership of the school. The successful candidate will work in a variety of ways to ensure that students with additional needs are fully included in the life of the learning community and have equal opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage.
