Job summary

Dedworth Green First School is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term basis from 05/10/2026 to 31/08/2027. The role is 32.5 hours per week, term time only, supporting children with learning and development.

You will promote inclusive practices, maintain a calm learning environment, and lead structured small group activities. Candidates should have Maths and English GCSE and the ability to support pupils with disabilities and communication needs.

• Who has experience of working with children and has Maths and English at GCSE level.
• To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
• To assist in creating and maintaining a calm and purposeful environment.
• To be able to lead a structured small group activity and promote safe and fun learning within the school.
• To work with a named child with an EHCP when necessary and offer appropriate support.
• To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school.
