The Governors of St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School are offering a unique opportunity to appoint a HLTA (with responsibility for Numeracy Intervention) to join our Maths Department. The aim of this role is to provide bespoke support plans for individual pupils/small groups and assisting small groups within Maths lessons.

We welcome applications from candidates who possess a Maths qualification ranging from GCSE level, up to graduate level; a specialist Maths teacher, a HLTA or Learning Mentor.

It is essential that the successful candidate is an excellent communicator, enthusiastic, conscientious, and understanding of the varying circumstances that occur within a school environment. Although no previous experience of working in a school is essential, the successful candidate must be willing to undergo training as necessary. The ability to work on their own, using their own initiative and as part of a team is a crucial part of this role, along with having resilience and a sense of humour!
