Job summary

Crookhill Primary School in Gateshead is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support pupils in KS1 and KS2. You will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality support, helping pupils reach their learning goals in a friendly, nurturing environment.

The post is part-time (27 hours 30 minutes per week, term time only) and permanent, with the starting date as soon as possible. Experience with children, GCSE English and Maths, and SEN support are desirable, and safeguarding duties

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • Good basic skills in Mathematics and English – GCSE or equivalent.
  • An understanding of the Early Years Framework and National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs.
  • Patience and empathy.
  • Understanding of children’s individual learning abilities.
  • Good communication skills.

Job description

The Headteacher and Governors of Crookhill Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS1 and KS2. We are looking for a flexible and dedicated professional who will work alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support to pupils.

We are looking for someone with:
