Job summary

We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join Harlescott Junior School in Shrewsbury. The post supports Key Stage 2 pupils, with duties including delivering targeted interventions, assisting with classroom activities, and promoting inclusive learning.

This term-time only role is paid at SCP 7 on the national pay scale (£13.69 to £14.59 per hour) for 28.45 hours per week, with an ASAP start and DBS clearance. Closing date 9am 23 September; interviews 30 September.

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Harlescott Junior School. This is a position which supports inclusive learning and pupil development across Key Stage 2.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development. You will help deliver targeted interventions, assist with classroom activities, and contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.

• Has experience working with children in a school setting
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive practice and pupil wellbeing
• Is flexible, patient, and proactive in supporting learning
• Can work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent
