Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the Clitheroe area for the new academic year. This role offers the chance to contribute to children’s learning journeys in a welcoming school environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in educational settings, a nurturing approach, and strong communication skills to work with pupils, staff, and parents while upholding safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting.
  • Positive, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
  • Provide support for pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
