Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Morecambe from September. You will work with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping create an engaging learning environment and providing targeted support.

The role involves assisting with literacy and numeracy activities, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to an inclusive school culture. DBS update service and right to work in the UK are expected.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Morecambe from September. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. You will help create an engaging learning environment, assist with classroom activities, and provide targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning activities in the classroom
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils
  • Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum-based activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • Is patient, caring, and committed to helping children achieve their potential
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Has a proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
  • Competitive pay starting at£14.25 per hour
