Job summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join Clitheroe Pendle Primary School. The role combines 1:1 SEN support in Year 3 with general class TA duties across Key Stage 1 and 2.

The post is a fixed term contract for the 2026/27 academic year, with a pro rata salary for part-time hours and a starting date shortly after 1st September 2026. The school operates in Clitheroe, BB7 2AL.

The Governors of Clitheroe Pendle Primary School are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant to join our very happy and proud school. The post will initially involve supporting a child in our Year 3 class, on a 1:1 basis, and also working as a general class TA in both Key Stage 1 and 2.

  • you are a positive role model who reinforces positive behaviour strategies
  • you have energy and a sense of humour
  • you are able to readily adapt to the ever changing demands of a school day in a flexible and cheerful manner. If you have experience of supporting children with SEND this would be relevant.

We note that this post is a minimum variable hours contract of 10 hours per week, although initially working 30 hours per week. This position is a temporary part time term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
