Job summary

Bedford Hall Methodist School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a committed primary team. The role requires recent experience in primary education and knowledge of supporting children with SEND. Excellent communication and the ability to build strong relationships with parents and carers are essential.

The position is fixed term, 25 hours per week, with SCP 5 (£14,930 per year). The school offers supportive leadership, well-resourced settings, and access to development

Qualifications

  • Must have recent experience of working within primary education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills to provide effective support.
  • Be able to form strong and professional relationships with parents and carers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support to pupils as part of a primary teaching team.
  • Support learning activities and manage class assistance.
  • Work with children with SEND to enable accessible learning.
  • Maintain high expectations and demonstrate empathy and care.
