Job summary

The Canons CE Primary School in Bedworth is seeking two experienced Teaching Assistants (KS1 or KS2) to join our busy school. Roles include Midday Supervisor duties and a readiness to start now, with a 39-week term.

Fixed term and permanent options available, with a pro rata salary and scale F, points 7–10 depending on experience. The successful candidates will have an NVQ Level 2 Childcare related qualification or equivalent and experience with KS1/KS2.

• NVQ Level 2 Childcare related qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of working with Key Stage 1 or 2 children.
• Maths and English A–C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Midday Supervisor duties during lunch.
• Support for Key Stage 1 or 2 children.
• Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Job description

The Canons CE Primary School is a large 3-form entry school situated in Bedworth. We are an outstanding school (March 2025) and the Governors are looking to appoint 2 experienced Key Stage 1 or 2 Teaching Assistants. Experience in supporting children with SEND would be an advantage.

We have a permanent role and a 1 Year fixed term position. The positions are ready to start now but we would be willing to wait till for the right candidate. All roles include Midday Supervisor duties, helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our children.

The hours

27.5 on a 39 week contract.

The positions will be offered on Scale F, point 7 – 10 depending on experience. Pro Rata – £27,274 – £29,071 - (Actual approx £17,358 - £18,501)

The successful candidate will

• Have an NVQ Level 2 Childcare related qualification or equivalent Experience of working with Key Stage 1 or 2 children

• Be a team player with good interpersonal skills and able to multi-task in a busy environment
