At Springwood Primary School we are constantly striving to create the best learning opportunities for every pupil. We aim to provide a specialist, high quality, relevant and balanced education for pupils with SEND aged 5‑11.

We are seeking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant for our Craig Hall Site working 20 hours per week between the hours of 10:00am – 2:00pm each day.

Springwood is a large primary age Special School (340 pupils aged 5–11) based over a number of sites within Salford, which caters for pupils with moderate, severe and complex needs. Springwood Primary School is part of The Link Education Trust.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a large and lively school and be part of its future developments.

Essential Criteria

  • Are you interested in supporting primary age children with complex needs to achieve their potential?
  • Will you ensure that all our pupils are included and supported to develop whatever their special educational needs or behaviour challenges?
  • Can you work as part of a team to provide an appropriate learning environment for our pupils?
  • Do you want to learn new skills and participate in your own professional development?
  • Previous experience of working with young people of school age who may present with challenging behaviour and complex needs, preferably within an educational setting.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited, into school, to undertake a class based task, an ICT task and a panel interview.

References are requested prior to interview for shortlisted candidates only.
