Job summary

Clarence Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Rugby. Location is Rugby, Warwickshire, with a daily rate of 95–110 and a rolling contract.

The role involves supporting teachers, delivering interventions, and helping create a positive learning environment for pupils. Ideal candidates will have a patient, caring approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
• Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to support student progress.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND requirements where appropriate.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
• Encourage student participation, independence, and confidence.
• Monitor student engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits, and extracurricular activities when required.
