Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school nursery in Billingham. You will support the learning and development of nursery-aged children and help deliver engaging activities in line with EYFS, while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.

The role offers ongoing consultancy support and access to CPD/training. This temporary position could lead to longer-term opportunities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Early Years setting or school nursery.
• Desirable Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
• Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of nursery-aged children.
• Assist with the delivery of engaging Early Years activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children's social, emotional and communication development.
• Work closely with teachers, nursery staff and parents to support pupil progress.
