Job summary

Teaching Personnel are looking for several Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Southend and surrounding areas. You’ll provide 1:1 support, help with inclusive education and participate in classroom activities.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30, with PAYE pay and weekly pay through Teaching Personnel. Access to an online portal with CPD courses and DBS checks provided.

Qualifications

• All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

Responsibilities

• Working to ensure the students receive an inclusive education with 1:1 support, based on their individual social, educational and intellectual needs.
• Maintain the classroom and equipment in a safe and tidy condition.
• Contribute to record-keeping by recording observations of pupils during the school day.
• Communicate their knowledge and understanding of students to other school staff
• Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours consistent with the role and in line with the expectations
• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
• Provide teaching and learning support including the use of appropriate technical resources
• Support students with SEN and additional needs

We are looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to provide support within our Primary schools in Southend and the surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
