Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an Early Years Classroom Assistant for a nursery provision within a welcoming primary school in Hartlepool. You will support children aged 3-5, helping to deliver engaging EYFS activities and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Hartlepool | Primary School Nursery | Immediate Start Available | £95–£105 per day

Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early stages of learning and development? We are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Classroom Assistant to join a nursery provision within a welcoming primary school in Hartlepool. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced Early Years practitioners, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. The Role:

• Support children aged 3-5 years within the nursery setting.
• Assist with the delivery of engaging play-based learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development.
• Support children with personal care routines where required.
• Work closely with teachers and nursery staff to meet the individual needs of all children.
• Observe and record children's progress, achievements, and development.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children in building confidence and independence.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery, childcare, school, or similar setting is desirable.
• A genuine passion for Early Years education and child development.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum would be advantageous.
• A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
• Relevant childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential.
