Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistants to support partner schools across Cambridgeshire. Roles include day-to-day supply, long-term placements and temp-to-perm opportunities within primary settings.

You will support the class teacher by delivering engaging activities, prepare classrooms for lessons, and supervise breaks to ensure safe, happy play. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Adaptability to support short-term and long-term placements.
• Genuine passion for inspiring young learners.
• Experience in an early years or children's setting is desirable but not essential.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS via Update Service.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools and nurseries across Cambridgeshire. This role offers excellent flexibility with day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and opportunities for temporary-to-permanent positions within primary settings.

About the Role

As a Nursery / EYFS Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher by delivering a wide range of stimulating and engaging activities.


• Prepare the classroom for lessons, including setting up and tidying resources each day.


• Supervise children during break and lunchtime, ensuring safe and happy play.


• Assist children in learning through play, engaging through observation, interaction, and guided play.


• Work with individual pupils or small groups to support speaking & listening, reading, writing, and Maths.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
