Job summary

Co-op Academy Southfield in Bradford is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs. You will deliver bespoke education, tailor learning plans, and use innovative methods to engage pupils with complex needs.

You will collaborate with external agencies and the inclusion team to ensure holistic support, foster an inclusive environment, and promote pupil confidence and progression.

Qualifications

  • A specialist SEN training or experience is highly desirable.

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator passionate about making a difference in the lives of Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? At Co-op Academy Southfield, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, where you'll play a pivotal role in our SEND provision.

As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will deliver bespoke, specialist education tailored to meet the evolving needs of SEN pupils, including those with complex requirements.You will develop and implement personalised learning to support each pupil’s unique needs and abilities. Use innovative teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire young learners. Collaborate with external agencies and our wider inclusion team to ensure holistic support for pupil’s development. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and growth.

We are looking for candidates who:

  1. Are anexcellentpractitioner. A specialism or additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  2. Areconfidentin the classroom and understand how children with SEND, learn.
  3. Havehigh expectationsof what can be achieved.
  4. Seek to buildpositiverelationships with children.
  5. Areflexiblewith a good sense of humour and an understanding of the ‘bigger picture’.
  6. Are able to work to their owninitiativeas well as part of a team.
