Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Bristol (BS7) with immediate start. You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, including SEND, delivering engaging activities and assisting class teachers.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable), have SEND experience, and a solid understanding of the Primary National Curriculum. Flexible, reliable and proactive approach is essential.

Salary: £92.65 - £105 per day

The school is looking for a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2, with both short-term and long-term opportunities available and an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide general classroom and SEND support, promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop their confidence and independence, while demonstrating flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of the school.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable)
• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND in a primary school setting
• Experience working with pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
• A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum, positive behaviour management and inclusive classroom practices
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and other members of staff
• A flexible, reliable and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to adapt to different classroom environments and support children with a range of learning needs
