Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Bristol. You will support pupils across Key Stage 1, assist class teachers with learning activities and help create an engaging, positive classroom environment.

The role offers daily responsibilities in a busy, friendly setting, with a focus on developing learners' confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning. Hourly pay ranges from £14.25 to £15.50.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 / KS1.
• Good understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 under the guidance of class teachers.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills
