Job summary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a warm and welcoming primary school based in Treherbert. The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a long-term, full-time role within its Nursery / Early Years provision, supporting mainstream pupils alongside children with ALN.

The ideal candidate will have ALN experience, be comfortable with individual and small-group work, and provide personal care when needed. PAYE pay, with CPD opportunities and a staff referral scheme are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous ALN experience is essential.
• Experience in a Nursery or Early Years setting is required.
• Confident supporting mainstream pupils and those with additional needs.
• Ability to work individually and in small groups with young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis within their Nursery / Early Years provision. The class includes mainstream pupils alongside a large number of children with undiagnosed Additional Learning Needs / ALN, so previous ALN experience is essential. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide general classroom and small group support, adapting their approach to individual needs, and candidates must be comfortable changing pupils and providing personal care when required.

• Previous experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN is essential
• Experience working with children within a Nursery, Early Years or similar educational setting
• Confidence supporting mainstream pupils and children with additional needs
