Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream Primary School in Tonypandy, supporting pupils with ALN and helping them access the curriculum. The role is part-time and ongoing, with a salary of £14.25 per hour.

You will assist with classroom activities, promote inclusion and encourage independence. You will provide personal care when needed, maintain pupils' dignity and safety, and work closely with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience providing personal care to pupils
• Experience in a primary school or similar setting
• Strong safeguarding and pupil wellbeing understanding
• Caring, patient and understanding approach
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

Are you a caring and patient Teaching Assistant who can provide individualised support to children throughout the school day?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Tonypandy who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a caring and supportive individual who can help pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN access their education and feel safe, included and supported within the school environment.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a part-time, ongoing basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN, providing classroom support and assistance with personal care where required while encouraging pupils' independence and participation in school life.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience providing personal care to children or young people
• Experience working within a primary school or similar setting
• A good understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• A caring, patient and understanding approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
