Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Derby and surrounding areas. You'll support teachers across EYFS to KS2, deliver interventions, and help pupils reach their potential in a varied and rewarding environment.

This role offers flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements with competitive pay (£95–£100 per day) and access to CPD training, with dedicated local consultants guiding you through every step.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings.

• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll support teachers in creating engaging learning environments and help pupils reach their full potential. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Assisting children with varying learning needs, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and daily learning activities.
