Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified Primary Supply Teachers to work across Derby and surrounding areas. Roles range from day-to-day supply to longer placements, with opportunities for permanent roles and full-time/part-time commitments.

We welcome experienced teachers, ECTs, and returning teachers. You will deliver engaging lessons, adapt to school plans, and support pupils with diverse needs, while ensuring safeguarding and effective pupil progress feedback.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curricula.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage behaviour.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Support pupils with diverse abilities and additional needs.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and support staff.

The Role

As a Primary Supply Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons and creating positive learning environments that enable pupils to thrive.

Responsibilities may include:

• Teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with school planning.
• Adapting teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Ensuring safeguarding and school policies are followed at all times.
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants and other support staff.
