Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support children in primary schools across Derby and the surrounding areas. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and longer-term opportunities starting in September.

We welcome experienced TAs, graduates, nursery practitioners, youth workers or anyone with child-facing experience. DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in any capacity (school experience is beneficial but not essential).
• Positive, proactive and adaptable approach with excellent communication.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Assisting children with varying learning needs, including SEN.
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities.

The Role

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
