Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Derby. You will help pupils reach their full potential in engaging learning environments, with roles ranging from day-to-day supply to long-term placements.

We welcome individuals with school experience or fresh graduates, nursery practitioners, youth workers, or those with relevant childwork backgrounds. Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in any capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Assist children with varying learning needs, including SEN.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Support teachers with classroom preparation and daily activities.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll support teachers in creating engaging learning environments and help pupils reach their full potential. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions.
• Assisting children with varying learning needs, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and daily learning activities.
