Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd seeks a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Sully. The role combines general classroom duties with 1-1 support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, in a full-time, ongoing arrangement.

You will help learners stay engaged, support emotional regulation, and build trusting relationships in a mainstream setting. Immediate start with PAYE arrangement; a competitive daily rate is offered.

• Experience working with children within a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
• Experience providing 1-1 support to children with ALN.
• Confidence supporting learning within a mainstream classroom.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent when managing challenging behaviour.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

The school is looking for a caring, resilient and adaptable individual who can support pupils within the classroom while providing additional individual support where required.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, ongoing basis, combining general mainstream LSA duties with 1-1 support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. The successful Teaching Assistant will support learning in the classroom, help pupils regulate their emotions and behaviour, and build consistent relationships that encourage positive engagement with school.
