Salary: £85.50 - £92.63 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school based in Caldicot, who are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where children of all abilities are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), providing both 1:1 and small group support, assisting with classroom activities and working closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils are fully supported throughout the school day.

Responsibilities

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) / Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is essential
• Experience working within a mainstream primary school environment
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with different learning abilities and additional needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach with a genuine passion for supporting children's development
