Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream Primary School in Dartford, seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 and KS2. You will work alongside classroom teachers to support learning, manage behaviour, and adapt your approach to meet varied learning needs.

The role is short-term, part-time, on-site, with competitive pay (£95–£105 per day) and opportunities for CPD through My-Progression. Applications close 30 October 2026.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a short-term, temporary basis, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Teaching Assistant will work alongside classroom teachers to support learning, manage behaviour effectively and adapt their approach to meet the differing needs and abilities of pupils.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant across KS1 and KS2
• Experience supporting pupils with varying levels of learning ability
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A creative and adaptable approach to supporting learning
• An energetic and positive attitude in the classroom
