TeacherActive is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant in South Shields to support children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH. The role involves 1-2-1 and small group work, with both full-time and part-time opportunities on offer.

The successful candidate will provide consistent and positive support to help pupils reach their potential and will join a committed team supporting a mainstream school in South Shields.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH.
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support.
• Patient and positive approach; adaptable to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning, engagement and development.
• Provide 1-2-1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Contribute to an inclusive classroom environment and positive behaviour.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school in South Shields to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports children with a range of additional needs and is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and positive support.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work 1-2-1 and with small groups of children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, supporting their learning, engagement and development.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support
• A patient and positive approach
• Adaptability and a willingness to support pupils' individual needs
