TeacherActive Limited is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream school in South Shields. The role supports pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, on a 1-2-1 and small-group basis. The position is long-term with both full-time and part-time options.

Start is immediate; staff are paid via PAYE, with CPD courses and progression opportunities offered by the My-Progression channel. Join a dedicated team providing consistent, positive support to help pupils reach their learning

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support
• Strong communication skills
• A patient and positive approach
• Adaptability and willingness to support pupils' individual needs

Responsibilities

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school in South Shields to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school supports children with a range of additional needs and is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and positive support.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work 1-2-1 and with small groups of children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH, supporting their learning, engagement and development.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD and/or SEMH
• Confidence providing 1-2-1 and small group support
• Strong communication skills
• A patient and positive approach
• Adaptability and a willingness to support pupils' individual needs
