Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in Sale to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis with an immediate start. You will support pupils with Autism and complex needs, working closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support and help pupils access learning and daily activities.

The successful candidate will bring experience as a Teaching Assistant or Support Worker, be patient and resilient, and able to contribute to a positive, inclusive

The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism and complex needs, working closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support, encourage positive engagement and help pupils access learning and daily activities.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or in a similar support role
• Experience supporting children or young people with Autism, complex needs or additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive and adaptable attitude
