TeacherActive Ltd in Telford is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with primary-aged pupils who have Autism/ ASD and Severe Learning Difficulties. The role is part-time, temporary and ad hoc, offering flexibility around the successful applicant’s availability and school needs.

You will support learning, follow individual strategies, help pupils access learning, and develop independence. The school emphasises a patient, adaptable approach and strong communication with staff and families.

Formación

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
• Experience supporting Autism / ASD and/or Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD.
• A good understanding of supporting pupils within a primary school environment.
• A patient and caring approach.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

The school provides a supportive environment focused on meeting the individual needs of its pupils and helping them engage positively with their education.

The school is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time, temporary ad hoc basis, offering flexibility around the successful applicant’s availability. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support primary-aged pupils with Autism / ASD and SLD, helping them access learning, follow individual support strategies and develop their independence.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
• Experience supporting Autism / ASD and/or Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD
• A good understanding of supporting pupils within a primary school environment
• A patient and caring approach
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Strong communication skills
