TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH/ADHD in a specialist setting. The role is part-time and on-site in BS30 5JU, offering hourly pay from £14.25 to £18 and a temporary contract; posting dates set with a closing date of 25 November 2026.

The successful candidate will have experience with challenging behaviour, a 1:1 support approach, and a willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS. Benefits include ongoing CPD and a referral scheme.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Ideally, experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour or similar additional needs
• Ideally, experience working within SEND schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), Alternative Provision, youth work or similar settings
• Experience supporting students with SEMH or ADHD on a 1:1 basis would be desirable, although transferable experience will also be considered
• A creative, patient and resilient approach with excellent communication skills
• Ideally, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, although this is not essential
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
