Job summary

Moorside Primary School and Nursery in Ripon is seeking a suitably qualified Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join the team. The role includes 32.5 hours per week (Term Time Only) with lunchtime responsibilities, fixed-term until 31 July 2027, at Band CD, points 6 and above.

The successful candidate will have experience with children, flexibility across Early Years to Year 6, and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion. DBS and references required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support children across the primary age range, from Early Years to Year 6.
• Assist with personal-care duties and moving/handling as required.
• Provide lunchtime supervision and support where needed.
• Work as part of the school team to help children access learning.
• Support safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils in line with school policy.

Salary: £25,614- £26,847 pro rata per annum with SEND allowance

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant (SEND) (with lunchtime responsibilities) to join our school team.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with children across the primary age range and is happy to work flexibly across the school, from Early Years through to Year 6.

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience of working with children, preferably within a school or similar setting.
• Be enthusiastic about working with children from Early Years through to Year 6.
• Be flexible and able to adapt to different age groups, classrooms and responsibilities.
• Have a caring, patient and nurturing approach.
• Be willing and confident to undertake personal-care duties.
• Be able to support a child with physical needs in accordance with appropriate guidance and training.

The role is a fixed term post initially until 31st July 2027 for 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm) on Band CD, Point 6 to start as soon as possible.
