Job summary

Ripley St. John’s CE Primary School and Nursery in Amber Valley, Derbyshire, is appointing a SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to support our KS2 classes. The role is 16 hours per week, with mornings preferred, and involves working with a child diagnosed with ASD and ADHD.

The successful candidate will be caring, reliable and committed to safeguarding, with a passion for raising standards and contributing to a welcoming, Christian ethos.

The Governors of Ripley St. John’s CE Primary School and Nursery are seeking to appoint an inspirational SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to support our classes within school. We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming school, with a true Christian ethos, putting the children at the heart of our decision‑making, striving to ensure we are ‘a light for all to see’.

We are a family-feel, two form‑entry primary school located in Amber Valley, Derbyshire, with 355 pupils on roll.

We are appointing for a 16-hour post, working with a child with a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD in the Key Stage 2 phase.

Where necessary the working hours will be negotiated in line with the successful candidate and the specific requirements of the school, however, mornings Monday through to Friday are desirable.
