The Federation of Middleham Church of England (VA) Junior School and Spennithorne Church of England (VA) Infant School invites applications for a General Teaching Assistant with a SEN allowance and a Midday Supervisory Assistant role. The position focuses on supporting Key Stage 2 pupils at Middleham and includes 27.5 hours GTA and 2.5 hours MSA per week.

We are a small, friendly federation of church primary schools serving 98 pupils across two sites. Since federating in 2018, we have created a collaborative, nurturing environment where children in Early Years through to Year 6 learn and grow. About the Role

We are looking for a very special person who is motivated and caring and who has the experience and knowledge to work as a General Teaching Assistant with a SEND allowance. The role is primarily to support pupils in Key Stage 2 at Middleham. This is a vital role that offers the chance to work closely with all our Key Stage 2 children and also involves some work supporting a pupil 1:1

There is also the opportunity to act as a Midday Supervisory Assistant, supporting pupils at lunchtime.

• Hours: GTA 27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 15:15 (part time may be considered for the right person)
• Hours: MSA 2.5 hours Monday to Friday 12:00 – 12:30
• Location: Mainly at Middleham, though there may be occasions where work across both sites is required.

You will support children both in class and during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. We value your experience and positive attitude, and we are committed to providing any training you need to succeed.

• Has experience of working with children with additional needs
• Communicates effectively and works proactively both independently and as part of a team
