Job summary

Applefields School in Colburn, North Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support learning, confidence and curriculum understanding for pupils. The role is 33.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:45 pm, term-time plus training days, with outdoor play leadership responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be committed, reliable and enthusiastic, with strong literacy, numeracy and IT skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to work with children and staff.

Salary:Full-time salary of £25,989.00, pro rata to £20,550.81 per year.

About the Role

The role involves working directly with children to support and develop their learning, confidence and understanding of the curriculum, themselves and the wider world. Working closely with the class teacher, you will play an active role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment in which every child is supported to achieve their very best. You will also be giving the responsibility of leading our outdoor play.
