Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Pontypridd is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with reading, writing and phonics, delivering targeted literacy interventions and supporting programmes such as Read Write Inc. The role is full-time on a temporary basis, with ongoing opportunities and a supportive team.

You will work with children across the primary age range, bringing energy, strong communication and an adaptable approach to help learners progress and build confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• Experience delivering literacy and phonics interventions.
• Knowledge and experience of Read Write Inc. or similar literacy programmes.
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with reading and writing.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A positive and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning.

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant who can support pupils to develop their reading, writing and phonics skills?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Pontypridd who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a supportive and enthusiastic individual who can help pupils develop their confidence and make progress with their literacy skills.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, ongoing basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will work with pupils across the primary age range, delivering targeted literacy interventions and supporting programmes such as Read Write Inc. alongside providing general classroom support.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting


• Experience delivering literacy and phonics interventions


• Knowledge and experience of Read Write Inc. or similar literacy programmes


• A good understanding of supporting pupils with reading and writing


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• A positive and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
