Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream primary school in Swansea who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The role offers an immediate start and a PAYE contract, with Market leading rates of pay.

You will support children with challenging behaviour, work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour positively, and help pupils stay engaged with their learning in a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting.
• Experience supporting children who can display challenging behaviour.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Patient, resilient and adaptable.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children within the mainstream primary setting who can display challenging behaviour. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour positively, provide consistent support and help pupils remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting children who can display challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team
