Job summary

TeacherActive in Cardiff is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils around university commitments. You may help with day-to-day classroom activities and provide 1-1 reading support where needed.

This role offers flexible hours, pay at £14.25 per hour, and ongoing CPD and development through My-Progression; your work will contribute to learning and development in friendly Cardiff primary schools.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a flexible, part‑time basis around university or study commitments. As a Teaching Assistant, you could be helping teachers with day‑to‑day classroom activities, supporting pupils with their learning and providing 1-1 support with areas such as reading when required.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with, teaching or supporting children
• A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development
• Confidence working with pupils individually and within the classroom
• A warm, patient and approachable manner
• Flexibility to work around studies while supporting different schools
• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved with classroom activities
