Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs at a SEN school in Lymington, Hampshire. The role runs during term time (39 weeks) with hours 08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, and flexible part-time days.

The position offers a great chance to contribute to student development, working under a teacher or tutor to deliver tailored learning programmes and group activities. DBS and right to work are required.

Qualifications

• Must have passed Maths & English GCSE (Grade C or Level 4).
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
• Passionate about supporting the educational and developmental needs of young people.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with diverse needs.

• Assisting students in accessing a specifically designed curriculum through group learning and individual learning programmes.
• Collaborating with a team to ensure the educational and developmental needs of students are met.
• May work as a subject Teaching Assistant or provide 1:1 support to a young person.

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a reputable SEN School in Lymington, Hampshire.

The school is a leading educational provider committed to providing quality education and support to young people aged 7-19 years with a range of learning difficulties including: Autism & Moderate Learning Difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of students during the school day.

Contract Details

• Hours: 08:30 - 16:30 (Monday to Friday) This includes a 30-minute unpaid break.
• Part-Time: Part-time days are accommodated, but not part-time hours.
• Working Weeks: 39 weeks per year (term-time only role).
• Hourly Rate: From £14.25 per hour.
• Location: Lymington, Hampshire
• Contract: Temp-To-Perm
