Job summary

Prospero Teaching are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for a school in the Lymington area, Hampshire. You will support students with Autism and mild learning difficulties, either in class or 1:1, helping them access the curriculum and engage with school life.

Start ASAP, term-time 39 weeks/year. GCSEs in Maths and English required. Enhanced DBS and UK Right to Work essential. Driving is required for some roles. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE requirements: Maths and English at grade C or level 4+.
• Experience with SEND pupils, especially ASD.
• Ability to support students to access the curriculum and participate in school life.

Responsibilities

SEND Teaching Assistants Needed ASAP

Are you an experienced Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children?

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a fantastic school located in the Lymington area.

The role involves supporting young people throughout the school day, either within a classroom setting or on a 1:1 basis, depending on their individual needs. This includes providing support to students with Autism and Mild Learning Difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their confidence, and engage positively in both learning and school life.

Experienced Teaching Assistants, as well as candidates looking to develop their career within SEND education, are always welcome to apply.

Role Details:

Start ASAP

Full-time hours: 08.30 - 16.30 Monday - Thursday. Friday 08.30 - 16.00hrs

Working 39 weeks a year (term time only role)

Hourly rate: £14.66 per hour

Experience advantageous but not essentialRole Requirements:

Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (we can accept Enhanced Child only)

Must have Maths & English GCSE (grade C or level 4 or above)

MUST DRIVEExperience and Training:

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with ASD
• A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD and complex learning needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training for this can be provided)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references Other
