Job summary

Walgrave Primary School is seeking an outstanding teaching assistant to contribute to raising standards by providing high-level classroom support. The role is 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year with a Grade E salary pro rata to £26,016–£26,427 full-time equivalent.

This position is initially until July 2026, with possible extension. Interviews will be conducted; start date is Monday 2nd November 2026. Applications via MyNewTerm.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths required.
• Childcare qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level classroom support to raise attainment.
• Assist teaching staff under the direction of the Headteacher.
• Support pupils with learning activities and behaviour as part of a team.

Responsible to: Headteacher

Hours: 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year

Salary: Grade E salary point 4-5. (Salary to be pro rata based on full time equivalent salary £26,016 - £26,427)

This position is initially until July 2026, but this may be extended.
