Job summary

Simon Balle All-through School is seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our experienced primary phase team. We welcome candidates with an interest in EYFS, KS1, KS2 and/or SEND specialists, and experience with students with SEND is preferable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be friendly, flexible and patient, with energy, imagination and a commitment to helping pupils reach their full potential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Patience, energy and imagination are essential for supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience with SEND is preferable but not essential.
  • Previous school experience is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils to reach their full potential in EYFS/KS1/KS2 and SEND contexts.
  • Assist with classroom activities and learning stations, under the direction of the teacher.
  • Help create an inclusive, safe and supportive learning environment.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our experienced team in our primary phase. We are keen to hear from candidates with an interest in either EYFS, KS1, KS2 and/or SEND Specialists. Experience working alongside students with special educational needs is preferable but not essential. The successful applicant will be friendly and flexible with a willingness to help students reach their full potential. Full training and support will be provided.

The role requires someone who has patience, energy, enthusiasm and imagination, who wants to make a positive contribution to the lives of our young people. Previous experience working within a school environment would be desirable, but not essential.

Closing date : Thursday 17th September 2026 however candidates are encouraged to submit their application as soon as possible as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate.
