Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, temporary position in Newcastle. The role runs October 2026 to July 2027, with hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will support pupils across the primary setting, promoting a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment.

You must hold a relevant TA qualification and have recent experience in a Primary setting, including experience with SEND and safeguarding considerations.

Teaching Assistant(Full Time, Temporary)

£480 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

We are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Newcastle. This full-time role is due to begin in October and will continue until July. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Working within the team, the desired Teaching Assistant will support children across the provision, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a Primary setting. A strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children with a range of needs is essential.

Requirements

The desired TA will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• QTS within the UK
