Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Newcastle Upon Tyne for a full-time temporary role from November 2026 to July 2027. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small group SEND support to EYFS and KS1 pupils, helping them access the curriculum through differentiated activities.

Experience in EYFS/KS1, a Level 2 TA qualification, and a proactive, team-oriented approach are essential. The role offers PAYE rates, CPD, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.

Responsibilities

Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)

Newcastle Upon Tyne

£462.80 - £480 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

November 2026 - July 2027

The School and Role

A Primary School situated in West Newcastle are looking to employ a pro-active, nurturing and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful applicant will be offering SEND support to pupils across Early Years and Key Stage 1, allowing the children to access the curriculum through tailored 1:1 and small group support. This is a full-time position, with potential to turn permanent for the right candidate. This school is supported by a fantastic Senior Leadership Team, who are dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment and unique learning experiences.

Requirements

• Have experience of supporting in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
• Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or above.
• Be able to support pupils through offering differentiated learning.
• Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A friendly and enthusiastic personality.
• Have excellent knowledge of supporting children with SEND.
